Who doesn't know that tomorrow, Sunday February 2, 2020 is Super Bowl Sunday? Many parties are planned, including two here on Active Rain -- join Anna Banana's costume party then head over for tasty recipe treats at Carol Williams' Food Fest.
A couple of weeks prior to Super Bowl, the Vikings and 49ers played a qualifying game, and fun abounded then, too. Our good friend Sally, of team Sally K. & David L. Hanson, suggested she and I have a friendly bet. If the 49ers won, she'd send me a sample of Wisconsin cheese; if the Vikings won, I'd send her a California wine. Luckily for me, the 49ers were victorious and are playing tomorrow.
One of the benefits of living at Pacifc Place in San Francisco is our security team. They receive our packages, notify us of their arrival and keep them for us until we can pick them you.
You can imagine my delight when I found the notice tucked in my mailbox. Even more delight when my husband and I opened the box to find a very generous wheel of fine Wisconsin baby Swiss cheese.
We've enjoyed it; shared it with our granddaughter (who had some for breakfast this morning!) and will take some to share with friends tomorrow at a Chinese New Year party. It will go well with dim sum, and blending of cultures!
Sorry, Sally, no wine is heading your way, but some San Francisco trinkets are.
Playing, having fun and cementing friendships works on Active Rain, just as it does in our "real world."
May both teams play good football tomorrow, and may we all have fun with it.
