Ron and I have been following Michael Jacobs posts for a long time now. Even when he was active in his real estate practice, I enjoyed reading his perspective on Pasadena and the surrounding communities. Although as a former Los Angeles resident, I was familiar with his marketplace, his fresh insights added to my knowledge. We also had the wonderful experience of several meet-ups with other Active Rain members.
If anyone in my immediate circle uttered the word "Pasadena", I was ready to refer them to him. When a resident of San Marino mentioned to me her intention of selling, I told her I had the perfect agent for her. She decided to stay put in her home.
Now as an industry observer, he had added his "pondering" posts, movie reviews, and other observations to his repertoire. Among his posts, they are all my favorites. The majority of them bring a smile to my face, and right there is the prize for reading his posts. A smile for me is worth everything both personally and professionally.
The other reason I am a big fan is that his posts often take the mundane expanding the subject into something special because of his observations. It makes me think in different ways. I enjoy this because it expands my point of view, and adds to my knowledge base. A perfect example of this is "Wondering About Wobbling Weebles!" I learned something new and something fun.
His movie posts have led us to great movies, like the life of Pavarotti. And there was the one on Elton John which Ron enjoyed more than I did...I was glad to have seen it, nevertheless.
This is an entry into Richie Alan Naggar February Active Rain Challenge. Thank you Richie for coming up with this challenge.
