In Denver, I always watch the weather when I have a listing coming on the market. This week, weekend and early next week we have three storms rolling through the Denver metro area, leaving snow in its tracks. Today we have several inches and the snow is not expected to stop until later today or tonight.
I know I raced out earlier this week in snow & ice to show a home that had hit the market and looked really good for a buyer. It was vacant, and no one shoveled the driveway or sidewalks either. Did all the buyers do that, or did that Seller/Listing Agent leave some money on the table by missing out on more showings? I think some buyers will opt to miss out, rather than risk an accident racing to a listing in this type of weather.
There is a lot to think about when you have a new listing --- PHOTOS - taking these with full sun is optimum, but at least behind the house is good. I have seen some dramatic photos with storm clouds hovering. I know my photographer says don't worry about the interior photos when it is gray outdoors. Sometimes these make the best photos inside! If possible, I prefer NOT to have a foot of snow in the front yard, but in February, this is difficult to avoid at times!
