It's 10 pm, Do You Know Where Your Blog Is?

Marketing is like a box of chocolates.  They come in all different shapes and flavors.  It never sleeps.  There is no wrong answer, just a variety of chocolate pieces to try and try again.

Thanks for F. Gump.

It's been a long, busy day and it's 10 p.m. and I haven't written a post yet today.

What to write?

There's a host of topics I could do tonight with a little extra time and the willingness.

None of the monthly market reports have been written yet...but not tonight.

Monday I visited a new construction patio home community with a unique set up that I definitely want to blog about...but not tonight.

One of my buyer client's emailed me this evening some interesting thoughts on his impressions of the sellers and accountability (it was POSITIVE)...but not tonight.

I need to do some research on another topic:  the types of homeowner's insurance needed for patio homes...but not tonight.

There's a theme here...not tonight.  A combination of fatigue and other tasks still needing done for the night dictates no heavy lifting tonight.

But here's the beauty of being a long time blogger.

I've got a couple hundred custom search IDX pages tied to my Wordpress sites (most of which are spin-offs from blog posts), and those never quit working for me as long as my Wordpress site and IDX are up and running (and downtime is VERY rare).

And actual blog posts?  I'm not really sure where the truly accurate number is for ActiveRain published posts, but my stat page indicates over 4000 posts.

Those posts don't sleep.  The good ones, the bad ones, the meh ones, the ones packed with EXACTLY what the consumer is looking for, they're all out there.

10 p.m. or 10 a.m., blog posts have no curfew.  They're just waiting to be found by the right person.

Fortunately if I have a night that I don't want to do any heavy lifting with my blog, I don't have to worry about it.  Those other posts are out there doing bench presses for me.

Bottom line:  build a relevant collection of posts and you don't have to stress about not contributing something new (just don't make a habit out of it).
