This weeks report on home values for Mission Viejo and surrounding areas homes is prepared by a Mission Viejo Realtor Tim Lorenz. The report shows the Orange County Median Prices for resale homes were up 55 percent, new homes are up 9.5 percent and resale condos are up 4.2 percent. The sales volume is up for resale homes 40.0 percent, up 40.9 percent on condos and up 22.3 percent for new homes.

 

Mission Viejo Zip Code 92691 sales prices are down 2.1 percent and the sales volume is up 25.0 percent.

Mission Viejo Zip Code 92692 sales prices are down 8.4 percent and the sales volume is down 73.8 percent.

Aliso Viejo Zip Code 92656 sales prices are up 10.5 and the sales volume is down 69.4 percent

Laguna Niguel Zip Code 92677 sales prices up 22.8 percent and the sales volume is up 71..0 percent.

Rancho Santa Margarita Zip Code 92688 sales prices are down 5.6 percent and the sales volume up 120.7 percent.

San Clemente Zip Code 92672 sales prices are down 37.5 percent and the sales volume is up down 13.6 percent.

San Clemente Zip Code 92673 sales prices are up 11.1 percent and the sales volume is up 33.3 percent.

 

According to The Orange County Register does not feel reporting home prices and sales column is important enough to up date.  Because they do not update but print the one from week or weeks ago, we do not get to see what is happening in our markets.  At this point in time when the market is changing radically we cannot plot it course.  This is not a column they care about just a space taker in the paper.

The Orange County Register does not feel reporting home prices and sales column is important enough to up date

 

That's one of the reasons I hang with Steven Thomas, Tim.  Every two weeks I know exactly what's happening in our Market.  I subscribe to the OC Register too, but can't count on them for accurate Real Estate information anymore.
