Part 3 Starting a Profitable Small Business! Ed King

By
Real Estate Agent with National Real Estate Network, LLC

In 2015 Edward King, a metro Detroit small-business consultant and former longtime director of Small Business Services at Wayne State University, died Monday. He was 65. From 1980 to 2009, King taught classes to entrepreneurs and small-business owners in his role at WSU. "I got into this because I was sick of seeing all these people starting a small business who just didn't know what they're doing," King told Crain's in 1995. "People spend more time buying a car or choosing an outfit than they do planning a business venture." In a series of videos and conversations with Crain's, King offered unfiltered advice to the small-business community. If you can't handle the truth, he said repeatedly, don't go into business. He spoke often about small-business owners having an advantage over large businesses in that they are adaptable to change. Ed King was good friend and truly missed. Ed was head of Small Business for Wayne State. He made a huge difference in a lot of lives. The advice Is on these Videos is Excellent! Mark Maupin https://www.crainsdetroit.com/article...
