ALL ABOUT HAMLET PLACE

CHEVY CHASE MD 20815

WHY LIVE AT THE HAMLET PLACE

The Hamlet Place Cooperative is fabulous if you are ready to downsize from your big family house in Montgomery County! The Hamlet Place is fantastic if you want to celebrate your status as an empty nester in a cooperative in Chevy Chase!  It is a wonderful community if you want to embrace a walkable lifestyle and quit driving everywhere.  Imagine how great it would be to spend your weekends travelling to museums, the Kennedy Center and wineries instead of spending your Saturdays cutting the grass and cleaning the gutters.  All those Honey Do items are taken care of by the coop!

Bethesda and Chevy Chase have lots of condos and coops to choose from but many of them are very expensive.  The Hamlet Place townhomes offer lots of room and a friendly community all set in a parklike setting.  Shopping and restaurants will be just a short walk away once the Chevy Chase Lake shopping area is completed.  If you tire of the restaurants there, just hop on the Purple Line and go into Bethesda or down to DC.   Find condos and coops for sale which are similar to the Hamlet Place Cooperatives right here.

Get the value of your Bethesda or Chevy Chase home or condo in today's market so that you can start planning your move to a Bethesda condo.

Are you looking for a great townhome with a urban location and a suburban feel? Do you want to leave your car in the parking lot and walk everywhere? Are you moving to Bethesda or Chevy Chaseto work at the new Marriott Headquarters or Walter Reed?

Don't like to cook? Bethesda has been named the town with more restaurants per capita than any other town in the United States. Bike or walk the Purple Line which runs from Bethesda Md to Silver Spring where there are lots of restaurants.  Pick up the Capital Crescent Trail to get into Georgetown in Washington DC for even more choices of shops and restaurants.  If this sounds like what you are looking for, then you should start and end your search at The Hamlet.

The Hamlet Townhomes are Traditional Townhomes

You have lots of choices in Bethesda and Chevy Chase among townhomes. You have Kenwood Forest I and Kenwood Forest II.  You have the townhomes at Westbard Mews and townhomes at Montgomery Mall – either the ones on Arizona or on Westlake Terrace.  There are townhome communities at Grosvenor and connected to the Whitehall.

Built in 1966, the townhomes at Hamlet Place are three level townhomes with either an inground or a walk out lower level.  All three levels are finished with gracious architectural details such as crown molding, wainscotting, large picture windows and arches.  They offer three to four bedrooms and two and a half to three and a half bathrooms. Formal dining rooms, wood burning fireplaces and separate kitchens are typical features.   All have terraces and patios looking out over green space.  You also have two reserved parking spaces but there is also lots of guest parking available in case you have more than two cars.

The Hamlet Offers Lots of Amenities

The Hamlet seems to be filled with people who want that soft urban lifestyle and appreciate the "finer things in life."   The Hamlet is very pet friendly, allowing large dogs - and more than one of them!  To see what is for sale at the Hamlet now, if there is anything on the market, just click here.

What Does Your Coop Fee Include?

The coop fee at Hamlet Place include taxes, water and sewer, master insurance, exterior maintenance of the townhomes, snow removal and landscaping.  The coop fee for a smaller unit such as the 1332 square foot townhome is $895, while the larger units can run nearly $1100 per month.

If you aren't quite sure about the difference between a coop and a condo, here is an article that explains the differences.

What is the Value of Your Bethesda Condo or Coop?

There are a number of sites on the internet that will give you 'estimates' for what your home will sell for. These sites use public records and usually some kind of algorithm to try to produce a value for your home. These sites also publicly state their 'error rates'. That means they aren't correct, they are simply an estimate based on incomplete date. We would love to do a free comparative market analysis of your home or condo in Bethesda and let you know what you can expect. Our valuation is based on up to the moment data for homes that have recently sold in the area. Our valuation is not based on a formula that relies on public records which can take months to update. Please visit my website in order to get your free property evaluation for your Bethesda home or condo.

Good morning, Lise, again. I had no idea that Bethesda had so many restaurants it's got the highest per capital concentration of them in the US. If for no other reason (although there are plenty of them), Hamlet Place would attract me because it's pet friendly.

Hello Lise - finding the right match and fit for a condo in Bethesda can be challenging especially with the numerous complexes in the area. Your expert local real estate knowledge is important to prospective buyers as well as sellers(who, of course, want to attract buyers).
