Marketing Your Listings Online

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with The DiToro/Lahey Team

This post is an afterthought of reading Anna's Marketing Ideas blog.

These are the websites which I update every time we 1.) get a new listing, 2.) take new photos of a listing, 3.) change the price of a listing, etc. Some are free, some are not.

If there is a site that you use that allows you to post your listings for free, please let me know. I would LOVE to use it! If I had more time to surf during my day, I'm sure I would find more, but my day is limited most of the time. :)

1.) GNIAR MLS (our regional MLS)

2.) www.nickandrick.com (our team's website)

3.) www.Realtor.com

4.) www.Postlets.com (free)

5.) www.Easyhomesearch.com (our local Homes & Lifestyles print magazine)

6.) www.therealestatebook.com

7.) www.shopdreamhouse.com (free)

8.) www.reallyo.com (free)

9.) www.grandeprairievalpo.com (local development we represent)

Wish there were more! I would love to spend my entire day updating various websites to increase our presence on the net, and I know that there is more I could do with these sites. We have only scratched the surface here--and we are all learning so much every day.

The nice thing about being RE/MAX agents is that our listings are also featured on www.remax.com, www.remax-indiana.com, and on our brokerage's website, www.rmxaffiliates.com . RE/MAX also provides our Buyer's Specialists with new buyer leads every day--they stay very busy!!

We love the free sites especially, though, because we can link back to our main site from them, and therefore increase our rankings in the search engines (uh...at least I think that's how it works).

Enjoy!

Hi Katie. Craigslist is huge in my local area. I get tons of leads every day. The best part is it's absolutely free. Best of luck.

I have had incredible results from posting my listings on http://www.backpage.com

I have gotten several buyers for my listings this way and other agents see it too, also it allows you to post in cities all over the country if you need to target outside of your market! Example, a lrge corp. was moving their headquarters to Middle Tennessee and I posted listings on backpage.com in their home city before the move. bingo, it worked!

You Tube is another great resource that many do not tap into!

Craigs list is great if you have the time and remember to re-post often!

Quick comment on YouTube - many higher-end sellers and buyers with whom we work aren't really too thrilled about having their exquisite properties and exciting video tours posted/hosted on YouTube for a variety of reasons...not the least of which is the rather poor quality of the video itself.  Doesn't do the property or the presentation justice. They much prefer a quality-controlled environment.

You might also want to consider Point2 which is free.  I've "claimed" a house on zillow that was my listing and didn't get charged.  Don't know if that's the same as posting it though.  Craigs List is huge in this area and many, many buyers start their search there.

Hi There

I am not at my office to get my list, bit I have over 50 more sites you can use, one is pretty cool called imprev.net if you are with RE/MAX its free from the design center at re/max.net, another is flyinside.com I use both of these often.

This is one of the reasons I enjoy blogging.  People aren't afraid to mention something that works for them.  Why reinvent the wheel and do you have to act like it is a secret???

Thx again for the bookmark. :P)

Hey, Folks!

We at www.RexNet.tv are doing work for some top ReMax agents here in Hampton Roads, Virginia.  We have also provided video production and presentation services for agents from Coldwell Banker, Long & Foster, William E. Wood, Rose & Womble, Wainwright Real Estate, Nancy Chandler Associates, The Real Estate-XChange...to name a few.

And, we're about to launch a major online video project for one brokerage here that's committing to present full video tours of ALL their listings!  Let's see how the market reacts to that.
