Serendipity Sunday: Tourists Vs. Locals

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

We just got back from a long walk on the beach.  The temperature was sunny and 64, with 7mph winds making it feel like 62.  The water temperature was 55. Pictured above is a bare chested tourist and his child.  In the background a local is wearing a wet suit for his swim.

And here is a local wearing a zipped up puffer.  And he was not the only one!  I was wearing mine too.  Happy Sunday!

Don Baker This time of the year you do, however we have days in the winter when you do not.  Come April, no puffers needed.  A

I think I would be in a puffer jacket, gloves and LONG PANTS!  It does look beautiful, though.

Happy Sunday, Ron and Alexandra- I have to laugh because I experienced the same thing when we were in Florida. Let it get below 70 degrees and the locals bring out their sweatshirts and sweaters!!!

Kathy Streib well we did wear shorts and go barefoot, and we did splash in the water, not as cold at the edge of the beach!  When I was at the University of Minnesota, we used to go up. to the roof of the dorm and sunbathe in 62 degree weather...Crazy how we become accustomed to temps.  When I am in Utah skiing, 40 degrees seems warm.  A

At 62º, that would have me wearing a light jacket.  High today for us is 66, enjoy the day

Hello Alexandra and Ron - I am quite used to people asking if I am cold when I am out walking early in shorts and a lightweight shirt.

The Los Angeles area temperatures are predicted to rise to the high 70s this week followed by some possible rain in the forecast.  It's all temporary.  More or less.

Hi Alexandra... your pictures remind me of how those of us who moved to Charlotte from colder climates always laugh when we see people donning their shorts when our temperatures reach 50 degrees in the winter!

Is Ron that guy bundled up, Alexandra?  I had eye surgery last Wednesday, and for some reason I've felt colder than normal since.  If I were to take a walk on the beach right now, I'd be bundled up too.

On a holiday weekend in Jupiter we see a lot of new dogs that are not regulars. Dogs can be tourists too.

Hahaha, in Denver it was sunny, but chilly. I saw several young women in short shorts running around. It made me laugh.  They were the locals - so an odd twist. Maybe they just had a case of spring fever.
