With all those hot neighborhoods, how does anyone ever decide?  They better find a great agent, like you, to help them.  Since I am of the right age, how is that Sun City community?

Hello Nina - I must admit I didn't realize how close Charlotte, North Carolina was to South Carolina and that the markets were closely aligned before reading posts on AR. .  It's rather amazing how ActiveRain has increased my awareness of geography.  Maybe education should take a cue from AR in some aspects.  Hmm...

Michael Jacobs hi Michael... I live virtually on the border of North and South Carolina... for Charlotte much of what they refer to as upstate SC in Lancaster and York Counties are essentially now bedroom communities for Charlotte. Sort of like working in NYC and living in NJ or Long Island or Connecticut.

Raymond Henson, SRES, GRI hi Raymond... interestingly, it's not that hard to make decisions... a lot depends on your preference of builder and amenities. Sun City is great for anyone who wants a gazillion amenities in a community with over 3,000 homes. I've sold my fair share of homes there over the years. But depending on budget there are other communities in the Charlotte region for active adults and age restricted neighborhoods I'd prefer. But you can't argue with Sun City's location and if you love golf, it's a great place.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel hi Alexandra... hi Alexandra... depending on the choice of route, Raleigh is just over 2.5 hours from Charlotte. I will remain hopeful that when you head that way you might just do it via Charlotte.

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS hi Paul... tell me about it... my husband had spine surgery on July 2nd and he's still in recuperation mode... all you can do is take it one day at a time. He's slowly getting back to normal and I'm sure you will as well. I had cataract surgey on my right eye and will be going in on March 4th for the left eye. By mid-March I should be in the pink, as they say. Right now it's just awkward as I see well out of my right eye and not so well out of the left. Meantime, the right eye needs reading glasses and the left eye doesn't...

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD thanks, Debb... for me the hardest thing to oversome is the anesthesia... it's a local which shouldn't fully put you to sleep... but me it does and I'm somewhat groggy afterwards for a few days. They could have sent in 8 circus clowns to operate on my eye and I wouldn't have known the difference. Now I just need to get my head around repeating the exercise for my left eye on March 4th.

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD Indian Land may just be the fastest growing area in the Charlotte metro region right now... really important to know the area as it's in great demand. Of course, I was selling there when much of Indian Land was horse farms and double-wides... so I've watched it explode over the past 20 years as it's literally in my backyard in Ballantyne just over the state border.
