Choosing a paint color when selling your Naperville home...

Paint is a topic that pops up with nearly all of our sellers...

"Do I need to paint my home?" "What color?" "Will it make a difference in the sale price?"

Often, we recommend that sellers put a fresh coat of paint on their walls prior to listing their home. It gives the home a fresh look and fresh smell, and can translate into shorter market time and thousands of dollars in our seller's pockets at closing.

Throughout the years, we have compiled a list of painters to refer to our clients that range from getting the job done at an affordable price to perfection for the luxury home. Often sellers find that hiring someone to do the job is well worth the time saved and money spent.

What color? Generally, we feel it's best to choose a neutral "greige" tone. The two that are favorites among buyers are Benjamin Moore's Revere Pewter and Sherwin William's Agreeable Gray. Both are very similar- a perfect gray with brown undertones. Both compliment almost any decor and make interiors feel more open and spacious.

Do you you have a Revere Pewter or Agreeable Gray room? If so, please post a pic in the comments!!
