My Town in Washington state

By
Real Estate Agent with Forks Avenue Real Estate

Thank you to all the friendly people who responded to my first blog.  I can see where this can get catching.  I thought tonight I would talk a little about the wonderful town where I live and sell real estate.

Forks is located on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula in the state of Washington just 13 miles from the Pacific Ocean.  We have several rivers running through the area where steelhead, salmon and trout fishing are at it's finest.  The Hoh, Quillayute, Sol Duc and Bogachiel Rivers are all prime fishing spots.  Forks has numerous first class hiking, mountain biking, and ATV trails.  Hundreds of miles of wild coastline are to be enjoyed here.  For outdoor activities, this is the place.

The Cape Flattery Trail leads to the most northwestern point in the contiguous USA.  If you come at the right time of year you can watch the Orca whales pass by.

Forks is served by Highway 101 and is 60 miles southwest of Port Angeles and 100 miles north of Hoquiam/Aberdeen area.

Our average rainfall is 121 inches, so we kind of think in feet instead of inches.  We are 18 miles from the Hoh Rainforest Park

We have the distinction of being the home base for a set of novel trilogies about Edward and Bella the main characters in Stephanie Meyer's "Twilight".  Our local Chamber of Commerce has had many young visitors come to see the places written about.  They even have a "Twilight Tour" in place for the young fans and their parents.

The summer time can't be beat for beautiful and you get used to the rain in the winter.

So I will close now before I sound like a travel log.  I love my town.
