Gaithersburg Citizen Survey Results
In a random, scientific survey, more than 8 in 10 residents described Gaithersburg as an "excellent" or "good" place to live, with high marks also given for public safety and the quality of the City's parks and recreational amenities. "I was especially pleased to see how high we ranked on the national benchmark comparison when it comes to openness and inclusion," said City Manager Tony Tomasello. "Our scores placed us at #11 out of the 289 communities that asked that same question. I think that speaks well to our efforts to ensure that Gaithersburg continues to be a welcoming community." The results were presented to the Mayor and City Council on February 18.
