As part of the February Blog Challenge for Active Rain, I decided to take a look back at one of my Featured Blog Posts "Are You On Drugs?" from November 25th, 2015.
I chose to revisit this blog partly because of the humor I now find in the situation, but also because of the very real Legal issues that can happen when something like this DOES happen. I think this post made an impression on others when they read it, it was a featured Blog Post, and had 91 original comments. I think I captured the subject matter pretty well. The point of this blog can be of good use professionally, as this is a situation I hope none of us have to face again. The core message in my original blog is that beyond the frustration of the seller, buyer, and the family...and myself... to keep it professional and know the facts. I sure hope that I am a good example of how to handle the subject of this blog post. My 2cents... a follow-up. She did finally list and sell the home in August 2016. So, be patient, know that in the end things will work out the way they are supposed to.

Are you taking drugs?
I just listed a property, got an offer in less than 24 hours--cash. The buyer and seller agreed to everything. The contract was signed and off to the attorneys. 72 hours later I get a call from the seller to tell me she had changed her mind...he wasn't offering enough money or time. She was taking narcotic pain killers when she signed and she wanted out of the contract. She was not going to move!
