I probably won't get another real good opportunity to blog before we leave to go to Northern Utah for my nephew's wedding and a family reunion. I don't know whether my nephew is brave, foolhardy, or just in love to tempt fate with a Friday the 13th wedding. His choice, not mine! I shouldn't say things like that, 13 used to be the number that I would wear when I played baseball; but a marriage is serious stuff to tempt fate like that.
We then have a family reunion on Saturday, also in Northern Utah. With gas prices, I am glad that these two family things were planned on the same weekend. It is about a 250 mile drive one way. I am not complaining, we would go regardless, there are just some things that you can't overlook and miss, and you really need to be involved in your family's important occasions. I am just glad that my parents taught us that family comes first.
Which brings me to another thought. I would like to take a moment to say Happy Father's Day. My dad has been gone for 20 years now, and believe me, there are few things in this world that I would like more than to have another opportunity to look into my dad's eyes and say thanks, and Happy Father's Day! Those of you that still have fathers or grandfathers take the opportunity to wish them all the best! It is one thing that once they're gone, they're gone!
Have a Great rest of the week! and HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to everyone!
