Putting Pieces Together Every Day | Learning How Others Do Business

What a great business we’re in!!  I think that’s a great intro line for any real estate post, but this one in particular is especially important. There’s not a month that passes when I don’t hear from real estate agents who ask my opinion on what to do in order to get a refund after paying a company for assistance.

 

Often that assistance is for buyer leads. I must admit, in 42 years, I have never paid anyone a penny for any type of lead or for any direction or assistance. There are too many sources available with simple information on “how to; when to; where to; and what to do” to secure business. There are no secrets in the real estate business.  

 

We each have different degrees of confidence in our ability to master the great variety of facets within our industry. None of what we do is “rocket science.”

 

 

This business is not very difficult. It’s dealing with people, and that does not require paying for that skill.  It’s a learned skill. Don’t get ripped off!! For those who provide that service of “ripping off” agents, all I can say to you is keep digging for those who are not yet wise to you!!!!

 

 

The real estate business is nothing more than knowing how to deal with people. The variety of people can’t be counted or placed in categories because no two people are the same!! 

 

 

Having said that, “common sense” and “knowing how to mirror” are the key factors when securing business. Everyone likes to do business with people who think as they do. They feel most comfortable with people who remind them of themselves.

 

 

Just a few thoughts to end my day….. it was an interesting one, and I had all day to digest my thoughts!!
