Whether you have actually bought and used CBD before, you probably know something, even if it’s only a little, about it. Many see CBD oil is a miraculous and natural remedy for an incredible variety of health conditions and ailments. There is a lot of talk about the studies that offer some proof to this regard.

However, no matter how popular CBD oil is, there are numerous things that people still don’t understand or know. In the following post, we are going to clear up the misconceptions surrounding CBD.

It is Illegal

Probably the biggest misconception people have about CBD is whether it's illegal or not. However, this is hugely inaccurate, and it is perfectly legal with regards to federal law as long as it as less than 0.3% of THC. There have been restrictions placed on customers. In certain states, people are only able to purchase and own CBD if it's prescribed.

As long as the products have been taken from hemp plants, there are no restrictions in place.

CBD is An Oil and Nothing Else

Although the oil form is one of the most popular its not the only way to use CBD. There are many different ways to consume the CBD. Among these are oral consumption through things like edibles, sublingual tincture consumption, vaping, and topical. Each has its own benefits and at the end of the day it comes down to the preference or needs of the individual. CBD Vape has become one of the most popular ways to use it. And with the diverse range of products available, it’s important to know which ones are suitable for vaping, and how you can verify their quality.

CBD is Addictive

Another huge misconception that many people hold for CBD is that it is very addictive. When in fact, it’s not. It does have an impact on your nervous system. However, CBD can help reduce chronic pain which is an excellent choice for people who take painkillers and morphine that are known to be addictive.

There have been even studies that show CBD oil can stop morphine and painkillers from causing addiction.

You Can Get High from CBD

Due to its origins, another misconception people have related to CBD oil is that it can make you high. However, it doesn’t have the same intoxicating effects. THC, as mentioned above, is the compound found in cannabis that makes you high. So, many people believe they are the exact same, but they aren’t.

There Are No Side Effects From Using CBD

Following on from the above, it's worth tackling the fact that many people believe there are no side effects from CBD. There have been some studies in the science community that suggests some patients may experience side effects from using CBD oil. This could include vomiting, nausea, dry mouth, dizziness, diarrhea, mood and appetite changes, and anxiety.

That’s not to say you will suffer any of these side effects and that even if you do, that you will suffer them severely. This is why it’s always a good idea to talk to your general practitioner or doctor before you consider using this natural remedy.

Marijuana and Hemp Are the Same

As CBD can be taken from both cannabis and hemp plants most people believe they are the same. That is not exactly how it works though, as plants from the same family are different.

The biggest difference between cannabis and hemp is cannabis has high levels of THC. However, hemp just has trace levels of THC but high levels of CBD. That is why most health supplements contain CBD taken from hemp. And this has THC between 0 and 0.3%.
