They are pretty interesting birds to watch, for a number of reasons. While they tend to be more common in the desert we see them in our area from time to time.

You made me laugh with your comment. I felt badly for the lizard. And the Roadrunner returned a little while later but didn't have any luck in it's search for lunch that I saw.

Jeff,
You did not know that Roadrunners have their own Yelp version? Chez Dowler had five stars...LOL It has been a long day, started at 4 AM, and a laugh or two keeps me awake. A
Hi Jeff- wow! I've never seen a Road Runner (except when he was with Wiley Coyote!) I'm not fond of lizards but I do feel sorry for it becoming the RoadRunner's breakfast.
I'm glad you enjoyed it Li Read
Well I have to agree Kathy Streib But the lizards catch alot of bugs and spiders, and that works for me. But I don't to see them being served as a meal!

Hi Jeff Dowler, CRS - I have spent a couple of decades trying to get a good photo of the Roadrunner; but to date, I have not been successful. I am so happy you were able to capture this Roadrunner in your yard and catching the lizzard, carrying in its mouth was so good!!!
From your window or patio glass door, you had the perfect view and captured the interesting life of a Roadrunner in action! Thank you, for sharing!!!
