Welcome Spring, but How Long will it Take to Make Up One Hour?

This time of year moving the clocks FORWARD an hour means we lose one hour this weekend.    This is hard, in my opinion than gaining an hour, but it does still interrupt our schedules.

This extra hour will allow for daylight hours to view homes later, so those sellers on the market, be prepared for showings through 7 or 8 pm.    We are seeing some signs of life from plants and trees, as we have seen some beautiful weather lately.

How long will it take to make up that one hour we shall lose this weekend?  Don't forget to change your clocks, or you could be late for Sunday's events!

Hi Joan, it will be hard to adjust my body to this spring change, but in about two weeks it will be good. Then we get use to this change and have to change again.

Rebecca, it does take a while to be back to normal.  I usually am good after a week.

Hi Joan... last year it took me weeks to adjust to that lost hour... my body clock simply rebelled.

Joan, I love getting the extra hour at night. I do not sleep so I do not care about the time change...lol

Hi Joan Cox -

I always chuckle at these posts because AZ does not change to Daylight Savings. But it really messes with my head. I actually have to think about if I am on the same time as CO or am I an hour behind?  Every national schedule follows the change, so airline and TV schedules also change.  I just wish we were all on the same time schedule all year long.  A long time ago, Rick and I missed a flight because they adjusted the time!

Losing an hour of sleep on Sunday is a small price to pay for the extra sunlight each day. I look forward to it staying this way sometime in the (near) future.

Sheri Sperry - MCNE® and Rick, you are right, sure wish we were all on the same time.  In fact, wish we could get rid of Daylight Savings for Colorado.  It would be really bad to miss a flight!

Debe, having daylight a bit longer in the day will be a nice tradeoff.

I don't envy you people who have to go through this twice a year.  It can be disrupting to say the least.
