This Week...Time Lost and Found, Hand Sanitizers and Lots of Lotion

Hello Kathy,  this is spreading pretty fast and I know of people that are staying in because of it.

I think many of us are trying to prepare and take precaution without being in a panic about coronavirus.  Last evening, there was a report that seniors should consider staying home as much as possible, while avoiding shopping malls, religious services and crowded places.  Knowing that numbers are still relatively low for cases here in the U.S. I opted to stock up this morning, on things I think would be necessary if I was to be required to self-quarantine for a few weeks.  My list consisted of: Paper towels, laundry soap, clorox, disenfectant wipes, toilet paper, water.  I also bought several cans of my favorite soups.  My family always laughs because my home is usually stocked with enough food on the shelves or in the freezer to keep a family of 6, for 3 months.  But, I live alone.  

I think if we use good sense, and perhaps limit some of our public exposure where there are large gatherings, we will be fine!

I do not like hand sanitizer. Now I do wipe the cart handle down before I go in the store. I do use baby wipes quite often.

My wife looked for some yesterday, not a one to be found.  Luckily, I have several stowed way at the office.  

I am just leaving a somewhat deserted San Francisco and I do have tissues, sanitizer, zinc tablets becasue one should be cautious. 

Kathy I am not a fan of changing the clock back and forth.  I want my hour back!!!

Hi Kathy Streib - For us, there is no time change but I always laugh when I hear those complaining about it.  Twice a year people say, I don't care if it is one hour more or less just don't make another change.  For the life of me, I can't understand why this just can't be worked out. I don't think there is any real good reason to move forward or backward.  I used to hear that parents didn't want their kids to be going to school in the dark.  Hello... our kids have been doing it for decades!! 

Hoping we all get rid of the time change altogether across the U. S. because more daylight is uplifting and will save on utilities! Happy Sunday Kathy.

Hi Kathy,  Thanks for sharing your thoughts.  I'm not a fan of the time change either.   But I do enjoy a healthy dose of hand sanitizer from time to time.  Have a great week!

I am not a fan of the twice-yearly time change although I find spring easier to deal. As far as all the other stuff...no doubt this will all pass at some point, we just have to be careful. I imagine the sanitizer companies are thrilled with sales! TP and wipes makers, too!

I have always been diligent about hand washing, and now especially!

My dog has been asking for her food an hour early - AND WE DON'T CHANGE THE CLOCKS, LOL

Hand sanitizer is not something we use so I haven't been paying attention at the store whether they have any or not. Between the fact it makes your hands so dry and my sensitivity to scent I'm not a fan. I have a silver gel product I use instead which I'm hoping is protecting me.
