Spring is almost here! Did you change your clocks?
Do you know what that means?
When trying to sell you home, nothing is more unfavorable than a cluttered home. More than likely, there are many areas in your home that need spring cleaning.
Here is a quick checklist to help you declutter:
Entryway: This is the first area prospective buyers will see, so remove items like coats, shoes, and other items that may ruin the first impression.
Kitchen: Keep countertops to a bare minimum, except for decor and limited appliances. The fridge should have all the magnets, photos, and other items removed.
Bathrooms: Make sure it is clean and free of debris.
Bedrooms: Be sure to make the bed and get rid of any clothing and shoes on the floor.
Photos, toys, etc.: Limit or remove personalized items that may be overwhelming to the eye.
Electrical equipment: Organize all the cords and other equipment.
To help alleviate any other clutter, have a garage sale, sell items online (Craigslist is one of many sources), donate to a logal organization, or throw aay any items you no longer use. Whatever you do, it is important to have a good impression on a potential buyser and sell your home quickly.
