Springing Forward Toward Selling Your Home

Spring is almost here! Did you change your clocks?

Do you know what that means?

When trying to sell you home, nothing is more unfavorable than a cluttered home. More than likely, there are many areas in your home that need spring cleaning.

Here is a quick checklist to help you declutter:

  • Entryway: This is the first area prospective buyers will see, so remove items like coats, shoes, and other items that may ruin the first impression.

  • Kitchen: Keep countertops to a bare minimum, except for decor and limited appliances. The fridge should have all the magnets, photos, and other items removed.

  • Bathrooms: Make sure it is clean and free of debris.

  • Bedrooms: Be sure to make the bed and get rid of any clothing and shoes on the floor.

  • Photos, toys, etc.: Limit or remove personalized items that may be overwhelming to the eye.

  • Electrical equipment: Organize all the cords and other equipment.

To help alleviate any other clutter, have a garage sale, sell items online (Craigslist is one of many sources), donate to a logal organization, or throw aay any items you no longer use. Whatever you do, it is important to have a good impression on a potential buyser and sell your home quickly.
