Are You a Beach Lover?

I AM.

I was not a beach lover at an early time in my life, but it has definitely grown on me over time.

I was born in a land locked state North of the Mason Dixon Line we visited the beach MAYBE three times total over my early years.   Then it all came to happen and to make this story just a little shorter.  I have lived in Florida for over 30 years.  I currently moved to the beach and currently live along Scenic Highway 30A in South Walton County.  I don't actually live on the beach but it is a very short walk from my home to the nearest beach access.

I am a Walton County Beach Ambassador. That also makes me a Friend of the Turtles.

From our Web site.

Volunteer Beach Ambassadors, interact with the public in a positive and friendly way, while they’re on the beach, stationed at a regional beach access or even while they’re out around town. By wearing the shirt, the public knows that you are a person they can approach with their questions whether they’re about local restaurants, shore birds or sea turtles. During that conversation, Volunteer Beach Ambassadors also have the opportunity to share more about Leave No Trace and #CleanDarkFlat. Volunteer Beach Ambassadors can also be seen filling in holes, knocking down leftover sandcastles and picking up bits of trash during their time on the beach.

What I have discovered is that there are plenty of people who are beach lovers in a variety of ways.  I walk the beach in the early and late hours of the day and notice lots of people who walk the beach as well, just watching mother nature and the changes that she presents to us each day.

This area is still relatively undiscovered.  The locals appreciate that fact.  It will  not always be that way but change is inevitable.

We can protect this area in some small ways but the growth will happen, hopefully in a manageable fashion.

There are a variety of housing options here that will match the needs of every buyer.  It is always a good time to buy or sell a property.

You dont regret the things that you do, you regret the things that you do not do.

Hi Peter... I do love the beach and spent a lot of time on beaches when much younger. In my 40's I developed an allergy to the sun, so have had to cut way back on my beach time even with a high sunscreen.

I am a beach lover too Peter Mohylsky, Beach Expert and I did live in Florida back in late 1986. However, is was too humid for me so I went back to southern California. Still live there, trying to get back to the beach eventually.
