One of the rare experiences in the Phoenix Valley of the Sun is walking in the desert after a rain - all the plant and tree fragrances, the bird songs, the exquisite sitings, the feeling of freshness and rejuvenation. To me it feels like the desert equivalent of a forest walk.

Lovely pictures, and the first one truly is exquisite. While I haven't hiked in the desert after a rain, the sage brush in the high desert around Elko Nevada smells fabulous after a rain.

Hi, Michael Jacobs , yes, especially in the desert, it's a very welcome sensation. We have had a good amount of rain and the hills now look very green, and yellow with bloom, too.
