Protecting Yourself From COVID-19 In Charlotte And In North Carolina
Information About COVID-19 From CDC, NCDHHS, Red Cross
North Carolina's Governor Cooper has declared a state of emergency this past Tuesday to prepare for and respond to the spread of coronavirus. This action provides North Carolina government agencies a better ability to coordinate and communicate with each other, and also provides the state with more flexibility to focus on increasing access to medical supplies and countering price gouging. North Carolina's Department of Health and Human Resources (NCDHHS) have set up a Coronavirus/COVID-19 Call Center: 866-462-3821 to answer questions you might have. For answers to frequently asked questions on the NCDHHR site, click here.
The CDC, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, and the Red Cross all provide valuable information for Charlotteans and North Carolinians on how you and your families can best protect yourselves at home, at work, and at school. By taking these precautions and following the state’s guidelines on temporary social distancing to limit transmission, each of us can do our part to help stop the spread of the virus and protect Charlotteans and North Carolinians. And maybe, one of the best things we can all do is simply not panic. No good decisions are made in a state of panic.
