It's tough when you are a hugger...
I know I am such a hugger and kisser too...LOL
Times like these are really tough when you are a hugger [and a small business owner, and single mom of 2], but adjustments are necessary. It will take some time getting used to not embracing, kissing a cheek, or shaking hands. I still find myself reaching out, extending my arm, or leaning in for a hug... and end up awkwardly waiving my hands in the air instead. At least it's good for a chuckle! Let's all remember to smile and share laughs.
It's tough when you are a hugger but for the time being, we will air hug, elbow bump, or namaste instead!
Besides adjusting the way I greet clients, colleagues and business partners, I am making tweaks to the way I conduct business. Yes, we are and will remain open for business and have no plans of shutting down completely. We will assess and adjust as necessary, we will get creative to find solutions, but we will remain open.
Remember, we are a small business, too. By being Rockstar REALTORS®, by advising, coaching, guiding our buyers and sellers, by facilitating transactions and selling houses in Silver Spring, MD and beyond, we put food on the table and provide for our families.
So we will continue on per usual but with a few tweaks keeping health and well-being of all in mind. Houses are still being listed, and SOLD! And we have no plans of stopping!
The biggest request we have is to cancel showing appointments should you feel unwell or show any signs of an illness.
We will do the same, of course.
I'm a positive person.. despite all the uncertainty and frightening news. We will weather this viral tsunami. We will get creative and find solutions!
Let us all stay positive, and remember to breathe instead of panic, to get fresh air, sleep, nourish our bodies, mind, and soul. Let us all check on our elderly neighbors, be diligent about washing hands, and limit our consumption of the news. Times like these are tough when you are a hugger [and small business owner, and single mom of 2] - but together we will make it through!
