4 Tips for Generating more Sales Leads

By
Real Estate Technology with IXACT Contact Real Estate CRM

It’s no great secret that for your real estate business to continue to thrive you need to continue to generate leads. But it isn’t always easy to come up with fresh ways to do that. So, what do you do? We’ve outlined 4 tips to keep those sales leads coming in.

1. Capture Them with Content

A great way to generate more sales leads is by consistently creating and sharing great content. Why? Because it demonstrates your expertise and draws people in. This can take the form of speaking at conferences, blogging regularly on your website, great email marketing or posting useful content on social media. If these things don’t come naturally to you, don’t worry. IXACT Contact can help. With a pre-written e-Newsletter that features 3 fresh articles each month, and two done-for-you blog posts a month on your agent website, IXACT Contact can help you produce great content in a variety of areas. We also offer Social Stream, which allows you to schedule content from top-tier publications such as Better Home & Garden and Forbes up to 3 times a day, 7 days a week. So, no matter where a lead finds you, they’ll be impressed by your knowledge and helpful content.

2. Get Involved with the Community

As a real estate agent, you know the community you work in like the back of your hand. So why not get involved with it to help generate sales leads? You could host a charity BBQ and invite everyone on your contact list to bring a guest with them. You’ll not only do some good for the community, but have a chance to meet plenty of new people.

Don’t forget to leverage your business connections either. You probably know great plumbers, painters, decorators, and more in your community. Start recommending them to your clients when they are looking to have some work done on their homes. When you refer people to them, the odds increase greatly that they will return the favor when they meet someone searching for a great agent. IXACT Contact makes it easy to keep track of all these connections with the Business Directory. Whatever your client is looking for, turn to your directory to make a great recommendation.

3. Build Your Database

This one might seem like it is easier said than done, but it doesn’t have to be. Begin by really looking at your Sphere of Influence. You probably know more people than you have included in your database. Add them in where you can, and reach out if you need more contact information. Starting with people who are familiar with you is the easiest way to build your database and generate more sales leads. You should also connect your lead generation forms directly to your database so none ever get lost. With IXACT Contact this is extremely simple thanks to automated lead capture integrations with your website, Facebook, Zillow, Trulia, and Fivestreet. Wherever your leads are coming from, they should be living in your database so that you can make the most of them.

4. Keep in Touch

Once you gain a new lead you can’t just let it languish in your database – you need to keep in touch! Keeping in touch is what will help convert those leads into clients, and keep clients referring people to you. When you use IXACT Contact, you can set up Keep in Touch Reminders at regular intervals. So, if you want to call your A-List contacts once a month, you can automatically create and assign a reminder to do so for that entire group. It will even spread them out evenly over the course of the month! On top of that, you can automate birthday and move-in anniversary reminders so you never forget to reach out with a personal touch on those special days.

Finally, you can also assign all of those new contacts to a pre-written email drip campaign with IXACT Contact. You choose the relevant campaign, assign it, and your lead is nurtured with relevant and timely emails without you having to lift a finger. Your new leads will be converting in no time at all!

Generating sales leads doesn’t have to be a difficult and frustrating task. With a little creativity and a little help from a CRM such as IXACT Contact, it can be a smooth process. Hi Rich Gaasenbeek - out of the four of these number four is the one that I think needs to be constantly done.

Good morning, Rich Gaasenbeek all 4 points are very important.... I'm old school and #4 trumps the other three.... good post.

Great reminder. I was trained to do all 4 early in my career. #3 being most important early in your career or #4 can't happen...which ultimately is the most important point. I've had my Buffini & Company Referral Directory going since 1999 and it's amazing how often I'm called upon to refer clients from it.

Numbers 3 and 4 are paramount to survival. We have been agents since 2004, we are still actively adding to our data base. It's important.

Great post - common sense content while obviously promoting a product - which I am on board with since it has a generous 5 week free trial.  Gves agents time to find out if they like it and will actually use it. My Virtual Assistant clients are always asking me what systems I prefer...and my answer is always the same..."whichever one you will use". I tailor what programs and systems I work with around my clients because they are all unique!

Great post and I am all about number 4 in so many different ways but never too pushy, Endre
