Earlier this year the Real Estate market in our area was zooming along. It appeared that the Spring selling market had arrived early. It was as if a team of dogs running flat out pulling the "Economic Sled" had heard their owner yell, "Whoa, there!".
Sled dogs don't like to slow down. They are bred to be constantly on the run. Sort of like Real Estate Agents. We tend to only be happy when we are running 100 MPH with our hair on fire!
So, what I am getting at is that the recent national events have slowed the real estate business. We are seeing some sellers not wanting people to walk through their homes, some Buyers pulling out of deals because their investments have taken a hit, and the phones are not ringing off the hook like they were.
But you know what? This is not the case for the business in general, Buyers are still looking and sellers are still wanting their homes sold. We will see business slow as we work our way through the current national issues, but people, even people who are staying away from others, still need to buy and sell homes. We as agents are committed to helping these folks as best we can during these distracting times.
Give us a call. We will meet you there and stay 6 feet away!
