Hey, Sports Fans -

Desperate Yet?

Who would have ever thunk it?  A sports post from me.  Well, kinda.

Yes, the post title may have caught you by a bit of surprise.  Me too.  But, why not?  These are uncertain times as much of life as we know it has changed including the elimination of in-person sporting events.  This morning in my email inbox, I received my Saturday edition of Hot Properties from the Los Angeles Times with all of the latest real estate news that is often focused on luxury real estate but this time with a decidedly all-sports perspective.

Ah, yes the times are changing...As for me - it may be time to head for the dugout, the locker room or wherever weekend athletes seem to congregate.   In the meantime . . . I am likely to ponder.

Michael- you can imagine what is going on in the Streib household. KU had such a great year we were looking forward to March Madness. And I really feel sorry for the athletes who will be moving on from college.

That said, I guess I'll have to watch Any Given Sunday or Hoosiers!!!

Sharon Lee - I completely understand that.  Pondering doesn't require a special uniform or specific equipment.

Sheri Sperry - MCNE® - Osmosis is an important part of life.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel - life is ever-changing.  We continue to learn.  Grow.  Experience.

Kathy Streib - have you and Larry watched many previously played games?

Wonderful photo, Michael! But to be honest, I haven't given any sport a second's worth of thought.... except for the world ice skating championships which were to take place this month in Montreal... their cancellation left me a bit sad.

Michael - He's watched a few KU basketball games if they were good and I have watched 2 SuperBowl games again. Ok...we're pathetic.

Nina Hollander - it goes beyond sports, of course.

Lawrence "Larry" & Sheila Agranoff. Cell: 631-805-4400 - while they may not pick up in exactly the same spot, I have no doubt they will return.  And in big numbers.  Enthusiastically.

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS - there is a lot to be said about turning off communication as you have described.

Roy Kelley - I hope your weekend is going well too.

Kathy Streib - I would think to call you two pathetic.

Morning Michael.

this is costing the various events big money, as well as effecting others that rely on the income.

It certainly is different for me and not having anything to watch on tv and has led me to believe that I could certainly live without tv, haha.

James Dray - that's true but it's good to be hopeful for a return to better times.

Brian England - an unintended "March Madness" but I am sure this interruption is causing many to think and re-think about those things we have considered as required.

Endre Barath, Jr. - the likelihood of that particular event is sparse though in a previous life, I did attend a couple Dodger openings as a "work" get-together.  Our boss was a real fan and the job was located not far from Chavez Ravine.

Other than hearing about losing Brady, no sports loss for me at this time. I know many are taking it all pretty hard though.

Sharon Tara - I think the Tom Brady news hit the main news and not just the sports section.
