Bringing Some Joy to Your Day

from the Carlsbad Flower Fields

 

The Carlsbad Flower Fields are a joy to behold every year, from March 1 through Mother's Day.

 

This year is a bit different due to the coronavirus, with the venue closing on March 17th until further notice.

But we can still enjoy the fields by looking down from Armada Drive (with plenty of room to maintain appropriate social distancing but still take photos and videos!). My wife and I went out today to do just that, on a gorgeous day with beautiful ocean views in the distance.

 

What a treat to enjoy 50 acres of ranunculas  - I hope you enjoy them as well. In these challenging times we have to remember to take care of our personal well-being, and enjoying nature is a wonderful way to do that.

Thanks Kathy Streib  I enjoy them every year, but somehow this year seeing them was even more pleasurable. And like so many businesses no doubt they are losing plenty of money.

I'm glad we can still enjoy them without visiting, and clearly plenty of other people were doing the same thing. I feel badly for the business, though - they had lots of events planned and they usually have lots of visitors. Lots of businesses are suffering right now I think.

The fields are definitely worth seeing Michael Jacobs  Mother Nature did a great job  yesterday with the flowers and the weather. I'm enjoying the sun - we are due more rain later this week!

Everyone looks great here right now Brian England becuase of all the rain. And we are due more this week.

It's definitely a time to stop and smell the roses and whatever Mother Nature is offering.
