Uncertain Times? Certainly Not!
Remaining positive and productive while staying informed.
I certainly am going to work out daily, as usual. Staying healthy is critical. I just won't do it at the gym. (5 mile hikes with my dog have been my exercise of choice 5x week).
I certainly will shower and dress for work each day. I just have a really short commute to my home office across the hall.
I certainly will limit my exposure to sensationalized, fear mongering news. I will stay informed through a balanced and trusted "mutual fund" of resources.
I certainly will work in my business per "usual". I just won't be meeting face to face live for now. I will meet face to face however on Zoom, Skype, Go To Meeting, Facetime etc. I've also met with my Toastmasters club, my networking groups and attended several seminars this way in the last 2 weeks. It works great!
I certainly won't be falling behind too much at work, I have much to do. Projects to start or finish, clients to call and check in on, marketing, videos, Podcast, blog, research, etc., all can be done still from the home office. Brush the dust off procrastinated goals and "eat those frogs".
I certainly have many unread self-improvement and business builder books. Now would be a great time to reinvest my library into brain where the info goes to work.
I certainly realize people are scared, sick and dying. I can empathize without becoming paralyzed. I can do my part for my friends and family and community safely.
I certainly realize many are suddenly out of work-kinda me too. Technically I'm one of them. But, I choose to stay busy, healthy and positive. I know this is temporary.
I certainly have survived the last 6 viruses/pandemics and The Crash of 2007. This is nothing compared to surviving homelessness, divorce, stroke and a few broken hearts, and more...all of which I've overcome. You? I can, I will, I believe (we will all will beat this COVID-19 season). And it's only a season.
I certainly want to make the best of this, to create good memories within the challenge of this. I do want to be proud of how I behaved towards, spoke to and helped out my family, friends, clients and community.
I certainly know this isn't easy, but nothing much in life has been. Growing up, school, vocation, marriage, relationships, business, etc. - none were easy. Life right now, not very easy. But, I certainly know life is worthwhile when you walk through it aligned with your definite purpose.
Now is certainly a great time to revisit your goals, re-align them with your values and update your plan.
Are you living your best self, your major definite purpose? Use this time to shine and remain out from under the doom and gloom of the negative news.
Yes, stay informed, but I dare suggest, we live our lives as we see them and design them, not as the "click bait", negatively sensationalized media dictates...most certainly!
I certainly wish you the best, to be safe, make healthy choices and certainly remain optomistic and connected to your tribes; change is certainly guaranteed.
I remain a resource to you, if you have a need or just a need to talk, I remain in service to you. We have been inconvenienced, not devastated.
We'll pause, then proceed!
