COVID-19 CDC Self-Test Online - EPA Disinfectant List
Commerical products for combating the infection spread are in short supply.
Of course, there are home remedies as well as commercial ones as pictured above. Check out an explanation for one "home brew" at the end of this post.
The Environmental Protection Agency, known as the EPA, is an official part of the United States Government and the EPA website is an offical US website. On March 19, 2020, the EPA issued a list of over 275 products and how to use them to control possible infectious agents. Posted on March 19, 2020, the EPA list is available online and may be saved as a PDF if desired.
In addition to sharing information daily about the current situation as the nation confronts the encroaching virus, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, known as the CDC, is offering an optional online AI interview to test yourself for COVID - 19.
Other information sources include free access to The Atlantic magazine articles for any COVID-19 related stories. The Washington Post offers free access to its COVID-19 stories such as this interesting explanation about flattening the curve by limiting interactions with others. Lots of self-explanatory graphics in the article.
Now about those home remedies ... You can buy small spray bottles and fill them with a "home brew" disinfectant made with grain alcohol (at least 140 proof), aloe vera to protect your skin and an essential oil if wanted for a special aroma.
Many videos on YouTube suggest recipes for making your own disinfectant with ingredients that are in short supply or not available at all. Mixing your own could use up your supplies while searching for the exact recipe!
