Reading Between The Lines

Although ActiveRain is the combination of real estate professionals and others from many parts of the United States and Canada who have come together in one place to share stories about their take on the industry, their market and sometimes just the "stuff" that makes them more than just another pretty face, it's really even more than that.

I have learned a lot and continue to do so on a daily basis but there are moments when a surprise(to me) is revealed, a nuance is noticed or a spark of an idea is lit.  Such moments have come to me while reading posts from those I follow as well as those who may be new-to-me, their comments on their own posts as well as others and even in that free-for-all known as the Q&A  section of AR.

Sometimes, startling news is announced but it's more common that information is gained through time.  Now, as I approach ten years in this place...I get it...  It's not just what is written....it truly is about reading between the lines.

In real life and in any part of that reality that you participate in daily.  It's a learning process...yeah, and like the world today, last month and off into the future, it's an always changing one.  I feel fortunate to have been involved in this chapter of the big story.    Some members like Kathy StreibCarol Williams - Patricia Kennedy along with many others have long showcased members and their posts but it goes beyond that.  Their work is definitely more than noteworthy.

Connections of all types can happen when you read between the lines.

I too have always noticed those little sparks of ideas. So much so that my bookmark page is extremely long with the originial one going back to November 2008. Lots of good nuggets here.

Good evening Michael Jacobs,

Glad to see this post featured...there is so much to learn from everyone here but you get us to take a second look and ponder what is being said and read between the lines. In today's world we are taking more time to ponder and understand what is really being said.

Hi Michael, this was indeed one of your hallmark posts and we congratulate

...actually, we have a bleedin' PANDEMIC going on and what the heck are you

you on the many years of pondering which have opened our eyes to thinking

going on with this obscure stuff when everyone is sitting on the edge of their

in a clearer and more holistic manner about the various aspects of daily life

seat wondering if tomorrow will ever come?  Don't you have any ideas about

as you so wisely ruminate.  We await several more years of the brilliant flash

how we can deal with the anxiety, lack of TP, and political blathering that is

es of inspiration you so humbly post here on AR!  Thank you, Thank you!!!

what most of us are dealing with at this time of so much uncertainty~~!!

I am going to take a wild guess and say this must have been a day to ponder.  With all that is going on in the Virus World it is a good time to reflect on past days, easier days, happy days...  Hope all is well with you!

John Henry, Florida Architect - your comment made me smile.  That's beyond a good thing, that's important and necessary.  Stay well.  Be healthy.  Keep up the wit and the intellect.  Both are appreciated.  A lot.

Debra Leisek - any day is a fine one to ponder.  There is no need, in my opinion, for waiting.  That said, I have nuggets, almost like thought appetizers, that are not quite ready to make it to be passed around so they are not served.  For a reason and often just because.

Great thought provoking posts as always!  Read and re-read posts and you'll see exactly what reading between the lines means.  There are so many great posts from great writers.  Even better is that there is a plethora of information for a new agent to learn from a pro like you!

Jan Green - thank you for those nice words.  As you wrote, there is much information available to the newly licensed as well as those more seasoned.  I do wish it were easier to search and find but I guess the discovery may be different for each person.
