Things To Do To Avoid Isolationship Syndrome.
Staying busy during trying times can lighten the mood by elevating thought processes while also tickling the creative side of the mind. Here are some things to do when inside, remaining in place:
Create a vision board. In real estate school, the instructor encouraged us all to get a board and fill it with short-term and long-term business and personal goals, wishes, dreams of world travel, inspirational quotes.
Take an online class. Some schools are offering free classes. Now is the time to take that creative writing class, child psychology, guitar for beginners or creative problem solving. Or complete real estate CE requirements.
Plan for weekly meals. When money may be the driving factor in daily food intake, planning ahead allows stretching the dollar further to purchase healthy items to cook. Look online for some absolutely delish meals!
Draw an outdoor scene. A quick glance outside can inspire anyone to get out some colored pencils, markers or paints. Even if it is the house across the street or a forested back yard, the results may be better than you think!
Plant an herb garden. Every cook needs spices on hand to add dimensional flavors to favorite dishes. Choose the ones used most often and find cute little pots and plant. Place near a sunny spot and watch them grow!
Keep your sense of humor. Think of funny past memories that happened to you or watch comedy-related shows or movies. Laughter is beneficial to good heart health plus when you belly laugh, it's like doing crunches.
It's still important to set the day by:
- Getting up
- Dressing up
- and Showing up for yourself.
Much more than that though, connect with that inner cheerleader who will clap and air pat on the back for everything accomplished, no matter how small or great. It may seem silly to some but has worked for me.
Wishing you all the best and am also taking my own advice!
