Roy Kelley hi Roy... the need is great in "normal" times. It's almost impossible to wrap one's head around how much greater that need is now during the pandemic.
Nina,
What a wonderful list of what those who live in Charlotte can do for the less fortunate. A

Hi Nina - I went to the supermarket at 6am this morning when it is only for seniors and everything is clean but they still were not stocked with all of the things I needed.

Ron and Alexandra Seigel thanks, Alexandra... there's really more that we can do a little expense while we are house-bound than many people realize.
Grant Schneider hi Grant... that's the problem with those early shopping hours... because the stores now close early, they get cleaned but there's no restocking going on in the night.
Good morning, Nina Hollander I went to the butcher today and bought extra to give to a neighbor who would not typically shop there.... I do that whenever I make a visit there...usually twice a month...

Barbara Todaro hi Barbara... such a lovely thing to do. And when you think about it, it really doesn't take much to do something nice or helpful for a neighbor.

it's nice when they don't expect it..... everyone needs a moment of positive surprise....
Barbara Todaro for sure, Barbara!
That is a great reference for helping any community...

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS hi Paul... thank you... in reality, this list could be endless! I just highlighted a few ways hoping to inspire some people to help out.
Doug Dawes hi Doug... you are absolutely correct... we can all do a version of this in each of out neighborhoods and it would go a long way to easing much pain out there.
Hi Nina Hollander - for the first time since the outbreak of "Fake News," isn't it wonderful how all the Governors are getting the same information from the President and the Team he has put together to combat the spread of COVID-19. We received similiar information here in TX too.
Be safe!

Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP hi Patricia... I am beyond tired of the news media for years now... there's very little true reporting... it's all opinions from people whose opinions I don't care about. Trust you are staying well and safe. These are crazy times we are living in.

Nina Hollander - Propaganda is not my cup of tea. The funny thing happened to me the other day when I went to turn on the remote. I started thinking about the many years I lived without a T.V. set and I did just fine and I stayed abreast of information that was true and positive. All that changed when friends gave me a T.V. in exchange for pet sitting. One can survive without it!

Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP hi Patricia... the problem now is that it doesn't matter where you get your information from.... papers, tv, radio, internet... it's all biased and opinion based.
Hello Nina, Good list and people need to help others. I was lucky and Sams club had everything on my list yesterday for me and one of my neighbors that I brought for also.

Will Hamm hi Will... I haven't check out Sam's Club as yet... did make a quick trip to BJ's this week and they pretty much had what I needed.
Joan Cox hi Joan... sad to say, I've only scratched the surface with what I highlighted here in terms of how to be helpful.

Sheri Sperry - MCNE® hi Sheri... Charlotteans can always be counted on to help when there's a need. It's one of the things I love about my adopted city.
Nina these are excellent suggestions at anytime, but especially during the time we are in.

Morning Nina.
What caught my attention was the blood donations. That is a lot of loss, for the Charlotte area.

James Dray good morning, James... those were national statistics... sorry if that wasn't clear. Regardless of where we are, the Red Cross is desperate for blood donations right now.
Nina, This is such a good list of ways to help in your area. Thanks for pulling it together. Take care.

Gloria Todor hi Gloria... thanks. The "sad" part of this is that this list just scratched the surface. I'm happy there are so many opportunities here to help... but sad that so much help is needed.
I always enjoy seeing how people come together to help others during a time of crisis.

Brian England hi Brian... Charlotteans always "show up" when their neighbors are in need... I love that about my city.

As you mentioned, it's a great list but, there is so much that we can do for our community and thankfully, we're seeing so much of that right now. It does my heart good to see it too, Nina!

Debe Maxwell, CRS good morning, Debe... I'm very happy to see how people in my neighborhood are coming together to help each other. And then... there are the clients who insist as I'm one of the "elderly" that I not leave my house but call them to shop for me. (Like that's going to happen! But I appreciate the good thoughts.)
These are timely suggestions to share. Many families will need food assistance and the Red Cross is asking for blood donations.
