There is always a first, and during these challenging times with the Coronavirus, everything has been modified and includes closings.

 

 

First, lucky we can still perform a closing!    My sellers will be signing on-line, and on their purchase, they will be doing a "curb-side" closing.   The title company will hand off the package and mark every page where they need to sign, and the buyers will stay in their car and sign.  If they have questions on any pages, they can call the closer, and she will stand by.    REALTORS and lenders are not allowed/required to be in attendance, as we are to maintain a 6' distance.

 

These types of closings will always be remembered!

Years ago, my wife was a notary. We were also a team. My real estate firm at the time said that it was a conflict of interest for my wife to act as a notary on any transaction I was involved in. (By state law) 

(we have a law for every thing in our state it seems)

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS funny you should say that, as the closer is a daughter in-law for the sellers, and she cannot officially sign-off on this transaction either.  Someone else in the office will have to do it.
