Cleanout Boxes
Ordinary life has shifted in a big way these past few weeks, as families across the nation adjust to more time spent at home. With schools closed, activities cancelled and play spaces shut down, we're seeing a spike in demand for "stuck-at-home essentials" like games, building sets, STEM kits and puzzles to keep young children entertained, engaged and learning while at home.
If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area and have items of this sort as well as other gear that your child has outgrown, Toycycle has got a new service just for you: Cleanout Boxes! There's literally no better time to pass your items on to new families, and they are making it easy!
Here's how it works:
1. Register for a Cleanout Box on othe Toycycle Seller page. They will contact you with more info and next steps.
2. Fill a medium-size box (approx. 24" x 15" x 10") with smaller gear items like baby carriers, wraps or slings, better brand clothing in new or like-new condition, cloth diapers, sleep sacks, baby monitors, swaddles and swaddle blankets, baby food makers, diaper bags, small toys, games, building sets, STEM kits, puzzles, hand puppets, etc. You can use any box you have on hand – an Amazon shipping box for example.
3. When your box is ready, they will send you an electronic shipping label. Print it out and place it on your package, and you are done! Toycycle will arrange for UPS or USPS to pick it up at your door and ship it to them.
4. They will process and list your items on our website. You will earn cash or Toycycle store credit when they sell. You can also choose to donate your earnings to charity.
These little gestures can go a long way. This is now the perfect time for everyone to start helping each other out. If you have any other ideas for charity, please call or text me at 510-919-5741. Stay safe, stay at home.
