Today’s View – Mar 27, 2020 – Eastern Howard County Rentals

This is a market report for rental in a portion of eastern Howard County, Md.  This covers the rentals in Columbia, Elkridge, and Ellicott City. These rentals include detached homes, townhouses, and condo apartments.

 At the time of this report (3/27/2020), 78 places are on the market FOR RENT, another 18 applications accepted and waiting on leases being signed, and 56 have been rented in the last 30 days.

Of those active, 9 came to market in the last week. Of those under contact, 1 has had a application accepted last week, and 6 had a lease signed.

 

One Bedroom

There are 6 one-bedroom rentals on the market currently.  These places are currently on the market for between $1,200 and $1,400, with the median being $1,288.  The days on market range from 1 week (9 days) to 2.5 months (79 days), with the median being 3 weeks (22 days).

There is 1 one-bedroom waiting on a lease being signed.  This place rented for $1,250 after being on the market for 1.5 months (46 days).

In the last 30 days, 5 one-bedroom places have successfully completed the process.  These places rented for between $950 and $1,325, with the median being $1,250. The days on market ranged from 1 week (8 days) to 1.5 months (48 days), with the median being 2 weeks (13 days).

 

Two Bedrooms Homes

There are 14 two-bedroom rentals on the market currently.  These places are currently on the market for between $1,400 and $1,950, with the median being $1,500.  The days on market range from 1 week (6 days) to approaching 3.5 months (100 days), with the median approaching 1 month (26 days).

There are 3 two-bedroom places waiting on a lease being signed.  The last known list price of these places ranges from $1,400 to $1,950, with the median being $1,600. The days on market ranges from 2 weeks (11 days) to 6 months (174 days), with the median being 2.5 months (75 days).

In the last 30 days, 12 two-bedroom places have successfully completed the process.  These places rented for between $1,100 and $1,900, with the median being $1,500. The days on market ranged from 2 weeks (16 days) to 6 months (176 days), with the median approaching 2 months (50 days).

 

Three Bedrooms Homes

There are 38 three-bedroom rentals on the market currently.  These places are currently on the market for between $1,750 and $2,950, with the median being $2,300.  The days on market range from new to the market (2 days) to approaching 6.5 months (192 days), with the median being 3 weeks (22 days).

There are 9 three-bedroom places waiting on a lease being signed.  The last known list price of these places ranges from $1,900 to $2,600, with the median being $2,150. The days on market ranges from 1 week (6 days) to 2 months (56 days), with the median being 2 weeks (16 days).

In the last 30 days, 22 three-bedroom places have successfully completed the process.  These places rented for between $1,200 and $2,500, with the median being $2,000. The days on market ranged from new to the market (4 days) to 5 months (151 days), with the median being 1 month (32 days).

 

Four Bedroom Homes

There are 15 four-bedroom rentals on the market currently.  These places are currently on the market for between $1,800 and $3,500, with the median being $2,595.  The days on market range from approaching 2 weeks (11 days) to approaching 9 months (267 days), with the median approaching 1 month (26 days).

There are 5 four-bedroom places waiting on a lease being signed.  The last known list price of these places ranges from $2,200 to $3,200, with the median being $2,900. The days on market ranges from new to the market (2 days) to 3 months (87 days), with the median being 1 week (7 days).

In the last 30 days, 6 four-bedroom places have successfully completed the process.  These places rented for between $2,200 and $2,800, with the median being $2,475. The days on market ranged from 1 week (7 days) to approaching 3.5 months (99 days), with the median being 1 month (31 days).

 

Five Bedroom Homes

There are 5 five-bedroom rentals on the market currently.  These places are currently on the market for between $2,650 and $3,150, with the median being $2,700.  The days on market range from 2 weeks (15 days) to 3.5 months (108 days), with the median being 2.5 months (77 days).

There are no five-bedroom places waiting on a lease being signed and none that have successfully completed the process in the last 30 days,
