In these truly unprecedented times where COVID-19 has mandated we all stay home and continue our work virtually, there are a few tips you can follow to make the most of the new situation. Our Highlands Ranch property management building has not closed yet, but we seem to be the last ones in the building. As we take the whole team online here are some of the steps we will take.

First, you and your entire team need to download the Zoom virtual meetings app. You may have heard about Zoom as many companies are now facilitating their staff meetings using this program. It is a well made video conference app which can connect multiple people to the same call, with good quality video. We recommend getting all of your team onboard with this, as you will still be able to conduct all meetings, and stay connected with all of your co-workers.

Second, keep your weekly schedules intact, and still strive to meet virtually at the same times you would normally in the office. The more you are keeping to your schedule the less disrupted the work week will seem. Keep working at the same times during the day, and start and finish in a manner consistent with your normal work weeks.

Third, you will still want to get dressed for work. This may not mean wearing a suit in your living room, but you should change out of the clothes you sleep in. It can be inviting to stay in your pajamas and robe since you will be working alone. But many people who work from home anyway say that in keeping with your schedule for the work week, getting dressed needs to be part of that routine. It can seem weird to blend your home with your work space, and many people who have trouble with work/life balance may find this even trickier. Getting dressed can motivate you to get ready for another full day of work, just at home. To be clear, you can still wear the comfy clothes best suited to your home, but just make sure it’s part of a new day’s wardrobe.

Blue Olive Properties will continue to offer Highlands Ranch property management throughout the uncertain weeks to come. We will still be operating day to day and can be reached by email at any time.

Good tips, I agree 100% changing your cloth, making your bed, adapting a new schedule, make time for your family kids but make sure you have your working hours as well, all of those will keep you positive and with the correct mindset  best of luck

Hi Roy - there is so much that can be done from home and online but you have to develop work and play boundaries.
