Not So Wordless Wednesday: Weeping Guitar on the Beach?

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Napa Consultants DRE00893924

Monday afternoon, we were so delighted to finally make it to the beach.  On previous days, the winds kicked up to twenty miles per hour.

It was a perfect day for a long walk. Very few people were there.  Everyone said hello and smiled.   As we were strolling along, I noticed this man walking with his guitar, gently strumming it.  Perhaps this guy felt the same way that George Harrison did about his guitar.

"I'm only myself when I have a guitar in my hands."

~ George Harrison.

What also came to mind was the song he wrote, "While My Guitar Slowly Weeps!"

Not long ago, the son of a dear friend who plays the guitar mentioned the performance of this song as part of the 2004 Hall of Fame Induction of George Harrison. This included Prince joining in to play his guitar.  We enjoyed this live performance, and we hope you do too.

Wishing you a great April

"The ability to live in the present moment, is a major component of mental wellness."

Abraham Maslow

I can't imagine many activities as delightful as playing a guitar on a sunny beach, Alexandra.  By the way, have you noticed how much bluer our skies are recently.  If there is a silver lining to what we are going through, it may be that nature is catching a break.  I don't know what she is doing with all the face masks and hospital gowns though.

Michael Jacobs the last time we were in Brentwood was a few years ago, when Ron was giving a talk.  We had gotten there early, and we could not believe how much things had changed, it had gotten so pretentious since we left in 2001, we were so happy we had left.  We never had stores with $2000 high heeled shoes...so I am not surprised....Here in SB, they got rid of Sak's.  A

Hi Ron and Alexandra Seigel - It looks like a really nice day for a walk on the beach. I always thought that walking on the beach was a great stress reliever.  Enjoy the weather!

Hi Ron and Alexandra- don't tell Sir Paul, but secretly George was my favorite Beatle. But... now that I think about it, Paul was the first Beatle I fell in love with. I'm showing this to my brother who has a band and plays in another and loves the Beatles

And   Michael Jacobs I'm concerned that they may close our Preserve where we walk if some of the people don't remember to social distance. Most do but all it takes is one.

Michael Jacobs Good for Garcetti.  We worked with his mother on leasing one of the properties she owned.  She is a lovely lady.  I am happy for the Farmers, having had a sizable vegetable patch both in Brentwood and Napa (double the size) I know what it takes to take care of that and work full time...I want to have them thrive, and we are happy to buy from them also.  A

Sheri Sperry - MCNE® I am delighted to say that we are not stressed by any means.  We practice what we preach about staying in the now and not giving into fear as I shared in this past Monday post.  It works for us.  The beach as always has been great exercise, a place to meditate, and very few people are there.  Those who are keep a distance of  over 6 feet, and every one is very respectful and kind.  A

Kathy Streib I liked them all...and this gently weeping guitar is haunting.   And we have the kindest people on the beach.  Since we walk at a good pace, we will often slow down and move over by the sea wall and sit for a while so as not to get too close to anyone...There is a water pole for shovering for feet or full showers.  As I was showering off my feet, a gentleman in the parked car offered my a wipe for my hands, saying many people had touched that button.  So I wiped the button for Ron, and then took another wipe for the next person and cleaned 4 of the buttons...Smiles all around, the next person will not have to worry.  LOL A

Hi Ron and Alexandra Seigel,  enjoyed your walk on the secluded beach, the guitar player and it brought back lots of memories.  In 2nd grade I  began study of the Hawaiian guitar and took lessons through 8th grade. After I got a 12-string Hummingbird guitar and spent years playing it for church services and around campsite fires.  I enjoyed listening to your selected YouTube musical accompaniment.  You and Ron seem to have chosen special ways to share your lives.
