Bike Rides and other COVID-19 Sanity Solutions

Okay, so I don't know about you, but given our State's current "Stay Home" order, I'm finding it increasingly difficult not to get a little stir-crazy! As a result, it's become really important to find ways to effectively overcome the quarantine blues and steal away moments of joy and relaxation.

Fortunately for us, my wife and I recently purchased a couple of e-Bikes from the good folks at Rad Power Bikes over in Ballard WA. We had been researching e-Bikes for quite a while, and had settled on Rad Power because of the many features their e-Bikes offer, and the fact that they have local sales and service here in the Seattle area.

I love the fact that you can pedal these bad boys just like traditional bikes, but you can also employ pedal-assist, or a 'throttle-only' option. That's especially helpful here in Poulsbo WA where we live up on the hillside overlooking Liberty Bay. When the Sun-breaks permit, we usually take a trek through downtown, a quick stop to check our mail, then a leisurely drive along the waterfront. It feels great to be outside, enjoying the beauty of our quaint waterfront community, and spend a few minutes feeling as though life is normal.

What are you doing to cope with the restrictions imposed as a result of the COVID-19 virus? What creative ways are you finding joy and escape?

Remember to stay safe and hold tightly the ones you love!

I wish now I had a bike! Yesterday I had a "virtual lunch" with friends via Zoom. We all logged in and ate lunch in front of our computers. It was great "seeing" them!

What a great idea!  I haven't been going stir crazy, yet, because I typically work from home and we live on a farm.  So, it isn't unusual for me to be home 2-3 days straight.  But, I have been keeping busy with gardening, planting seeds in the green house, and taking care of the animals.    In between online real estate work.

Hey, Catherine! Thanks for your comment! No doubt being on a farm keeps you busy! Stay safe!

Hi Rich- thankfully our parks are still open. We head out early every morning for our walk while maintaining social distance from the other walkers. Keeping our fingers crossed that heavy rains won't come our way to prevent our walking.

Hey, Kathy! Thank you so much for stopping by! Yeah, all of our State, County, and most of the City Parks are closed. But we can still go for walks, or ride our bikes. We are approaching Spring soon, so hopefully more Sun will be in the forecast. Stay Safe!

E bikes can be one of those things that you look at it at like a 45° angle and one that I wonder what the heck is going on, figuratively speaking.
