Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Treasured Members of our Community,
Recently, I have been having two central conversations with my friends and clients. The first and most dominant topic expectedly to do with the most important discussions surrounding our shared concerns over the safety of our loved ones. Yet for many others, inevitably the subject that comes up is, “What impact will this crisis have on our real estate planning, both present and in the future?”
While my first, foremost, deepest and most overarching concern remains the safety of all our loved ones, I also feel a professional responsibility to respond and even proactively offer my perspective on the near future of real estate in order to address such community concerns.
The easy and correct answer is no one knows. And, in fact, it would be unethical for me at this or any time to offer forward-looking projections or guarantees. What I can say is that just as the pandemic will affect all parts of the world and our country in an uneven fashion, so too will this crisis.
The impact I believe, of these twin and epic disrupters will carry different consequences depending upon local markets and their respective real estate and overall economies. In fact, even with individual cities, towns, and neighborhoods, in my view, there will most likely be distinctive impacts. This disparity will exist as real estate does not function identical to stocks or commodities.
Fortunately for most of us, but sadly not all of us, the most basic gift of real estate is shelter. I must say that when I hear public messages informing us that we must or should temporarily remain at home, it reminds me of the blessing and gratification of being in real estate with Real Living. Please know that I am here for you to offer more personalized information and consultation whether now or in the near or distant future, to help you always make the right lifestyle-related decision. Decisions that are based upon your needs, desires, and means, in concert with market-related opportunities.
Please also know that I am available to help you or any of your friends in the community, in any way that I have the ability to contribute beyond real estate but as a member of our caring community.
Let’s all move forward together – safely and considerately.
All my best,
