Flanking on side of the driveway are these beautiful Caladrinia spectabilis, commonly known as Rock Purslane. These succulents are easy to grow, they keep mounding and spreading. They are perfect for drought/water saving garden.
It seems that everywhere we look these days, we keep spotting California poppies. These are our state flower. This photo was taken in the field by the railroad station in Carpinteria. Flowers welcoming Spring are everywhere, and give us a reason to stop, smile and admire them. They are for us Smile Landmarks!
