Soup and the First Selfies

      Jack and I were walking through the streets of Rome without thinking about soup at all, then we saw this.

Soup of the Day

     No way we could pass that up.  We even had seconds and seriously contemplated thirds!  Tasty!

     After the soup, we made a very surprising discovery.  Ancient Rome was the birthplace of the selfie!  Here is the first and second ever selfies captured in action by fast working sculptors.

     I always knew the Romans were ahead of their time, but wow!  What a country! 

     Now you know why Mary Margaret is always looking for Adult Day Care for me and why she rolls her eyes A LOT.  

Daddy Day Care

     A little humor and some uplifting music: Cantaloop (US3 and Flip Fantasia), Happy (Pharrell), Mr. Pinstripe (Big Bad Voodoo Daddy) and the best, Smooth (Santana and Rob Thomas) made my day.  Pharrell even inspired me to run three miles today.

Two questions:

  1. Are you rolling your eyes or did I get a little chuckle?
  2.  What music gets you moving?  I need more music in my life!

Michael Jacobs, I am lucky that we took so many pictures.  My memory is not what it used to be.

Dorie Dillard CRS GRI ABR, It is wet a dreary here today too.  I love Italy too, though we have only been there one time.  We have at trip set for July to Italy and Croatia.  We are keeping are fingers crossed!

That bottle cap is funny and reminds me of a story.  When I was in college a bottle cap that I pulled off a soda said "You are a winner" on it but there was no information on the bottle about a contest or what I might have won.  From that point on though I knew I was a winner!
