Yesterday was a pretty good day. I went to the post office in the morning and sent off a birthday present to my best friend in New Jersey who I haven't seen since December. We had a visit scheduled last month, and then in May but it doesn't look like that will happen either so it was time to get the April gift in the mail. 

When I came back, after showering and changing, I worked in my front yard collecting a couple of big bags of leaves that haven't been attacked this season yet. I hope next week to finishing up that clean up and then getting out back.

This morning I will be out early for groceries because I heard the people in the store say last week that Sunday was slow. I hope they are right and I am really hoping for some paper products, but we'll see. Rain today so I'm glad I was out in the yard yesterday. Have a good one.

Hello Sheila - grocery shopping is on the list today as well with two different stores as part of the plan.  Lines are rather orderly as the stores limit the number of shoppers entering at any time.  It's obviously not the best circumstances but people are handling it well.

Rain is imminent here today, too. After living through several severe droughts, I always welcome the rain. Making a lentil-rice stew with middle east flavors is on my agenda today, along with reviewing our tax returns and some letter writing. And a walk of course, with or without rain.

We had nice sunny days this past week, but we are experiencing a rainy weekend.  It's easier dealing with self-isolation when the sun is out.  It should return on Tuesday!

I'm with Barbara Todaro - I have a monthly order that includes our paper products and haven't noticed much of a change - maybe a couple of days late this month but, because we're entertaining less, we have plenty of paper products! LOL
