High Intensity Interval Training Without A Gym and With Simple Ropes

One day is the same as another. How sad but very safe. Actually, the only way I know which day it is becomes based on which criminal justice based tv show is on that particular day.  I click between CNN and my marathon tv shows on the criminal justice station.

 

 

I miss my gym! My day begins with a 15 minute workout with resistance ropes. I do Tabata, and that’s a “High Intensity Interval Training,” an HIIT workout. This is done with several sets of 10 reps of fast paced exercises each performed for 20 seconds followed by a 10 second rest period.  There is no resting!! That 10 seconds is just enough time to change positions!!

One resistance rope can accomplish a total body workout.  Elaborate equipment is not needed. Check out a You Tube video of Tabata Using Resistance Ropes.  You’ll be amazed at how many different routines you can accomplish with a $15 resistance rope.

 

 

I miss my gym!

 

Just a thought for the moment…. I have many more weeks of thinking time ahead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barbara even though I continue my same routine, I am finding it is not enough right now because of being indoors much more.  I might need to invest in some resistance ropes.

George Souto you're a guy who is in good shape, if I remember correctly.... you need more than warm-up routines....bend and stretch type stuff.... the best option is a set of resistance ropes.... you may want to buy a set so you can start with a medium weight and progress to heavy and very heavy.... 

go on YouTube and look at some resistance rope exercises for men.... you'll see what you should be doing....and compare it to what you do now... 

this staying at home regiment is not healthy.... people are worried...stressed....bored.... and as a result, they eat what they should not and often...  they don't have any equipment, and all they need is to invest under $50 in a few items....

one can go weeks without any exercise and that person will not lose tone....but month after month with nothing could be very bad.... resistance is a great way to tone and to build lean muscle if that's what one wants....

Debb Janes EcoBroker and Bernie Stea JD the light ones are used for physical therapy...and they are usually flat bands.... these are ropes... different strengths....black is usually the heaviest.... medium would usually be the pink/reddish color....

Ron and Alexandra Seigel (A).... even when I had access to the gym, I would workout in the evening at home.... 5:00am was at the gym with the serious weight training peeps....about 5 or 6 men.... one or two women but they would be treadmill....they should be doing a weight training to dodge that osteo bullet...

Morning Barbara.

My morning workout is limited to lifting a cup of coffee.   I blew my tendon to my left thumb last week, can't get surgery until this virus issue is over.  Can't grasp anything with my left hand.
