Knee Jerk Reactions
This week, Greg Large replied to a question in the Q&A section mentioning knee jerk reactions in his answer. The specifics don't matter because the "A" following the "Q" can easily be substituted.
It may be more noticeable during this current crisis but this issue can appear often. To me, this is yet another reminder to slow down. Take a pause. There is plenty of time to stop. For a moment. Perhaps longer.
It seems as if a lot of focus as of late has dealt with the elimination of over-information. Information Overload indeed. It can seem to be invading the space in my brain. Let's face it, that space is limited. I am comforted knowing that I can hit pause...and then refresh. Crowding is not good. And overcrowding that space in my brain is definitely not any better.
I think I'll go back to pondering. Clouds and blue skies. Yes. I like that thought.
When I look back on my knee jerk reactions now
I should have just taken a breath.
