Social Distancing Part 3

Just because you are social distancing does not mean you are unable to stay social. You should not be hosting a dinner party, and you can’t get a cup of coffee with a friend since the coffee shops are not open, but luckily being social has evolved thanks to technology. We have been conducting all of our Highlands Ranch property management meetings over Zoom. Did you know Zoom is not just for virtual meetings, but virtual happy hours, virtual hang outs and virtual game nights? Sure you can call someone on the phone, but the video component adds a personal touch that we need right now. Bonus points for anyone who is clever and figures out a way to work in extra activities you might normally partake in with your friends and family. This can be anything from playing cards over your devices, simply having a drink with friends and clinging your glasses right at the camera. It can be roundtable discussions about the books you’ve been reading and the movies you been watching. There is no limit to what is capable once you all hop on to a video call. So do the things you would have done normally with the people you see the most.

You can even watch a movie together with the Netflix Party extension, which allows synchronized viewing of anything in Netflix’s catalogue.   We have heard that many people are being able to keep up consistent viewing of current shows with their friends who they normally watch with. So all you need to do is be a bit creative and you can fill this time with activities that are helpful, instead of watching the news each hour. We have heard from some people that they are being social with people from out of state, in a way they weren’t before. It can be hard to call someone and keep up once they move out of your state. But with these new restrictions, the old restriction of physical space has been removed once these activities transfer to the internet.   Have you been hanging out with friends and family in a virtual way that is unique? Let us know, we are always looking for new ways to make the best of our current shared situation. As always, we offer full service Highlands Ranch property management and are continuing to do so each day. Please email our office today.
