As we continue to adjust to a lifestyle that has no current end date, many people are beginning to feel somewhat helpless. We want to pass on to anyone who is not adversely affected by COVID-19 a few tips to help out without leaving the house. First, it is brutal that many of our fellow Americans have had their jobs and lives upended by the crisis. The fear of getting sick is one thing, but the ability to return to work is a problem that looms over many. If you are still able to work from home these tips are directed towards you. If you can donate at all, please consider doing so. You can donate to non-profits that are struggling, buy gift cards to your local businesses that you support, such as hair salons and restaurants, and you can prop up your local independent movie theaters with purchases of whatever services they are capable of offering right now. These acts are small but the recipients will be grateful for it when they resume operations later this year. If you are in a position to help it is wise to stand shoulder to shoulder with your fellow Americans and assist in any way, big or small. Since we are all facing this together and the landscape changes daily, small efforts will go a long way. If your local restaurant is offering delivery or pick up food still, consider doing that once or twice a week. You can even do it in place of when you would normally go out to eat. If you can take these tips to heart you can give yourself a solid foundation to get through whatever you are facing and come out the other side stronger. Because there will be an other side to this pandemic. Be sure to also remain grateful for your current situation if you have not been adversely affected. That perspective is important going forward.
