Friday Thoughts...Words Buzzing Around
Many years ago I started working in business development for a company that marketed to health-care-related companies. I had to learn a brand new lingo. Not the medical terminology but the business buzzwords that seemed to have popped up in the years since I’d worked in Houston.
Where do these words come from?
I’ve been listening to the daily COVID-19 briefing (BTW... Dr. Deborah Birx reminds me of Larry’s mother) and two words leaped out at me.
Granular and Mitigate.
It’s not that I don’t know the meaning of these words but I’ve not seen them used in the context that they are currently being used in.
Then again, we’ve never had to face something like this either.
Here are a few other words with which we’ve become acquainted in the Coronavirus era…
Flatten the curve
And who remembers when these started buzzing around us and becoming integrated into our vocabulary?
______-driven as in consumer-driven
Low hanging fruit
What words can you add?
