Michael Jacobs hi Michael... no doubt the first quarter for Charlotte region was quite positive... not sanguine that the second quarter will be quite as good... but rather than speculating, I'll wait for monthly figures. They'll tell us the story soon enough.
Brian England thanks, Brian... now it's more important than ever that we stay on top of our markets for our clients... they have questions and we need to try to answer them as well as possible.

Nina,
Good report as usual, it is wonderful that you stay current on the Charlotte market so that you can intelligently communicate to you clients.
Given that we are on the marketing and branding circuit, I have read all kinds of wild ass predictions as a result of this latest disruption in our lives. No doubt, there will be a period of re-adjustment in the real estate market...Time will tell, it always does. A

Ron and Alexandra Seigel hi Alexandra... it's more important than ever to keep our clients calm and informed... not the time for wild speculation or emotions. Things are what they are and will be what they will be... my job is to communicate as best I can and help my clients strategize on how to adapt to what is.
Hi Nina Hollander - I am sure there will be a bigger effect in April. However, I just looked at the Westchester NY Business Journal and Real Estate has upbeat predictions for a good comback and I am sure that will be very much the case in Charlotte.

Grant Schneider hi Grant... I hve no doubt we'll be seeing some numbers we won't like in April. But I also feel there's a lot of pent-up demand and if people get back to work quickly we should be able to recover fairly quickly in the housing sector.
Hi Nina Hollander, it is so important to communicate the current market conditions during this time when there's so much noise coming from different directions. So far, we really haven't seen much change in the number of closed sales, however, number of new listings in my area is down, many temporary off-market as well. I think we will recover quickly, undoubtedly, there will be affect.

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, CRS hi Paul... if you're going to do a market report it might as well be a three course meal and not just an appetizer! :)
Happy Easter weekend to you.
Beth Atalay hi Beth... too many people are just looking at headlines... and too many of them are sensational and don't apply across the board. Our shelter at home orders did not come through till late March, so it will be a few more weeks before we see the impact of it, especially since in Charlotte we were deemed non-essential and only just got an okay to show vacant homes this past week. Our shelter in place orders are in place till end of April.
Roy Kelley hi Roy... as always, I appreciate your stopping by. Wishing you and Dolores a happy (and safe) Easter weekend.
